HandyRide Logistics & Food Ordering Platform
HandyRide needed to replace scattered, manual campus logistics with a unified platform for food ordering, ride booking, and restaurant management. We delivered a real-time multi-role ecosystem in under 90 days — driving high student adoption and boosting restaurant order fulfillment speed.

The Problem: Students Needed Fast Food Ordering & Reliable Campus Logistics
HandyRide wanted to create a modern, reliable platform where university students could order food from their favorite restaurants and request rides around campus—without delays, confusion, or outdated systems.
Restaurants also needed a clean admin dashboard for updating menu items, opening hours, availability, and order fulfillment workflows. Riders needed a dedicated interface to manage pickups and deliveries.
My Solution: A Complete Multi-Role Digital Ecosystem
I engineered the entire experience—from student ordering to restaurant management to rider logistics. Using Next.js, Firebase, and a mobile-first UX strategy, I built a smooth, real-time platform that works across all devices and roles.
🚀 Key Features I Developed
- Student Web App: Browse meals, place food orders, request rides, track deliveries.
- Restaurant Admin Dashboard: Manage menu items, add meal photos, set pricing, toggle availability, update open/close hours.
- Rider Interface: Accept delivery jobs, view order details, and update status during transit.
- Real-Time Logistics: Powered by Firebase Firestore for instant updates across all user roles.
- Secure Authentication: Role-based access using Firebase Auth.
- Mobile-First Design: Optimized layouts for students accessing the platform on phones.
The Results: A Complete Platform That Works Across All User Types
The HandyRide platform successfully launched across campus and became a reliable daily companion for hundreds of students. The admin dashboard empowered restaurant owners to manage their operations more efficiently, while riders benefitted from a simplified delivery workflow.

- Restaurant Efficiency Boost: Owners reduced manual errors and improved order fulfillment speed.
- Reliable Rider Workflow: Clear job assignments and clean UI for delivery management.
- Faster Time-to-Market: Built the full MVP in under 90 days using a lean tech stack.
